Academic Advisors are responsible for advising, guiding, and helping students make informed decisions on their academic progression from expression of interest in Saint Mary's through to graduation.

b.  Students are strongly urged to familiarize themselves with the Academic Calendar and the academic audit program available in Self-Service Banner.

c.  Academic advising is particularly recommended for the following students:

(i)  all students who are on academic probation as defined in Regulation 8d;

(ii) all students who do not attain a grade point average of at least 1.70 in any given term.

Code of Student Conduct

Saint Mary’s University expects that students will conduct themselves in compliance with University Regulations and Policies, Departmental Policies, and International, Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws, as well as codes of ethics that govern students who are members of regulated professions.  The Code of Student Conduct outlines the behaviours which the University considers to be non-academic misconduct offences, and the range of remedies and/or sanctions which may be imposed.
