2. Auditing Courses


a.  Students must obtain instructor approval before auditing a course, with each course and term requiring separate approval.

b.  Students can only audit courses by formally registering as an auditing student. 

c.  Auditors may join all class activities but are not required to complete course assessments.  Auditors may complete course assessments for feedback with permission from the instructor.

d.  Audited courses do not earn credit or grades, but an "AU" will appear on the official student record. 

e.  Students may switch between audit and regular status within the add/drop period (see Regulation 13b).

f.  After the add/drop deadline, individuals must be registered as either an auditor or for-credit student to attend classes.
