Public Humanities and Heritage is an interdisciplinary program that emphasizes foundational understanding of theory and practice in the core areas of public humanities (archaeology, archive and museum studies, public history, tourism, memory studies, cultural heritage management and protection) and the acquisition of applied skills through experiential learning in these areas.
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a well-established, foundational degree and requires the requirements listed below alongside general graduation requirements.

With six (6) credit hours in three of the four themes (A, B, C, D). The lists of themed courses are given below.
Note: Nine (9) credit hours of any select electives must be at the 1000 level. Eighteen (18) credit hours of any select electives must be at the 2000/3000 level. Six (6) credit hours of any select electives must be at the 4000 level.
It is recommended that students meet with the IPHH Program Coordinator once per semester, and an advising "checkpoint" meeting is required once per year. Students' IPHH program of study must be approved by the IPHH program coordinator at the annual "checkpoint" meeting.
